About
N1BW is built for new stories.
Number One Best Website is a home for new fictional entertainment — series, films, shorts and the ideas that become them. Creators test a premise, prove it with a trailer, find collaborators, and publish work that audiences actually choose to continue.
Audiences are not passive here. You vote on premises, like the trailers you want made, and unlock episodes with tickets. Creators keep their intellectual property and earn 70% of eligible revenue.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the world need another website?
The internet has plenty of places for clips, personalities and almost everything else. It has surprisingly few places built around new fictional stories.
TikTok and YouTube can help creators distribute videos, but they were not designed to help audiences follow new fictional series—or to help creators test ideas, find collaborators, build an audience, earn revenue and retain their intellectual property.
N1BW is built specifically for new entertainment.
What is the difference between uploading something and creating a Project?
Upload a trailer, series, movie or short if you have already made it and want to share it with the N1BW audience.
Create a Project in N1BW Studio if you want to develop an idea, recruit collaborators, organize production and build something together.
If I create a Project on N1BW, can I also post it on TikTok?
Yes. You may promote and distribute your work on TikTok, YouTube, X and other platforms unless you separately agree to an exclusive arrangement.
N1BW receives the rights necessary to host, promote and monetize your work on N1BW, but does not prevent you from building an audience elsewhere.
If I create a Project on N1BW, do I retain the movie and television rights?
Yes. The Project Creator retains ownership of the underlying intellectual property, including movie, television and other derivative rights.
N1BW does not acquire ownership of your Project merely because it was created or distributed through the platform.
If I contribute to another person's Project, do I retain the rights to my contribution?
Once your Contribution is accepted into another creator's Project, it becomes part of that Project and its rights are assigned to the Project Creator.
You receive the credit and revenue participation associated with your role, but you do not separately own the accepted script, design, performance, episode or other material.
A rejected or unaccepted submission does not become part of the Project.
What genres can I post on N1BW?
N1BW welcomes fictional entertainment in every genre, including comedy, drama, horror, science fiction, action, romance, animation and experimental work.
Projects may be live-action, animated, AI-assisted or created through a combination of techniques.
Pornography, illegal content, infringing material and other content prohibited by the Community Guidelines may not be posted.
Does N1BW have cash prizes or contests?
N1BW may periodically offer contests, awards or cash prizes. Each contest will have its own eligibility requirements, deadlines and official rules.
Uploading something to N1BW does not automatically make it eligible for a prize or guarantee that a prize will be awarded.
What if I do not speak English? Can I post Spanish-language content?
Yes. N1BW welcomes fictional content in any language.
Please identify the language accurately when uploading. English subtitles are encouraged because they can help your work reach a broader audience.
What if I am blind? Can I use N1BW?
N1BW is being designed to support screen readers, keyboard navigation, captions, descriptive labels and other accessibility features.
Individual videos may not yet include audio description, and the first version of the site may have limitations. We will continue to improve accessibility as N1BW develops.
Why is collaboration important to N1BW?
Most great entertainment is made by people with different skills working together. A writer may need a filmmaker. A filmmaker may need actors, music, designs or editing.
N1BW helps people find one another, organize Projects, establish credits and revenue participation, and build new entertainment without requiring permission from a traditional gatekeeper.
