Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile image. At signup you confirm an age band (13–17 or 18+), which we store to apply age-appropriate rules — we don't collect your birthdate. As you use N1BW we record account activity: ticket purchases and balances, episodes you unlock, watch progress, Likes and Notify Me signals, feedback tags, and usage events (page views, playback). Creators additionally provide a public profile (display name, handle, bio, optional links) and payout identity details — the latter are collected and held by Stripe; we never see or store your bank details or tax forms.

How we use it

To run the service: play video, maintain your wallet and unlocks, resume playback where you left off, rank and recommend series, pay creators, prevent fraud and abuse, and send service emails (receipts, review outcomes, sign-in links, and the one-time “series is live” notification you opt into with Notify Me). Feedback tags are shown to creators only as aggregate counts, never attributed to you. We don't sell your personal information.

Who processes it

We use service providers to operate N1BW: Stripe (payments and creator payouts), Mux (video streaming and playback analytics), Google (sign-in, and Google Analytics), Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email), and Google BigQuery (analysis). Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.

Analytics

We keep our own record of product activity — pages viewed, videos started and finished, votes, Likes, uploads and purchases — so we can understand what people find useful. We also use Google Analytics to understand how people arrive at and move through the site, and Mux to measure video playback quality.

We do not send your name, email address, handle or any other identifying detail to Google or Mux. Where we need to distinguish one signed-in person from another, we send a random internal identifier that means nothing outside our own database. We combine selected data in Google BigQuery for analysis, on the same basis.

We do not run advertising pixels, and we do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. Google Analytics sets its own cookies to recognise returning visits and measure traffic. We don’t run third-party advertising trackers.

Retention & your rights

We keep account data while your account exists and as required for legal and accounting purposes. You can request deletion of your account from Account settings, or request a copy of your data by emailing viewer-support@n1bw.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (e.g., under GDPR or the CCPA), which we honor.

Some records survive account deletion because they are also records of other people or of transactions: payment and revenue records, agreement acceptances, audit logs, and any contribution already accepted into another creator's Project, which keeps its credit line.

Children

N1BW is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. Account creation requires confirming you are at least 13; an account confirmed as under 13 is deleted immediately, retaining nothing. Users aged 13–17 get additional protections: their creator profiles cannot display public contact or social links.
