Episode 1: The SignalEpisode 1: The Signal. Lila introduces herself and the rules of the room. She has never done anything quietly, she thinks sleep is a rumor spread by people afraid of the night, and she lives at a speed that produces songs the way a fire produces smoke.

Episode 2: The Girl Who Felt EverythingEpisode 2: The Girl Who Felt Everything. Rain-soaked Portland, a secondhand guitar with a cracked neck, and a child who could carry a stranger’s tears home from a bus. Gifted, restless, and far too sensitive for the world, she finds out where all that feeling can go, and why two in the morning has never let her go.

Episode 3: The First EscapeEpisode 3: The First Escape. A duffel bag, a guitar, two hundred dollars, and a one-way ticket. Lila leaves home the way she does everything, all at once, and discovers the world is bigger than her restlessness. Along the way she learns to read a map, a room, and, dangerously, a person in about four seconds. And she admits the thing she knows she shouldn’t say out loud: she’s never more herself than when she’s in motion.

Episode 4: The Adrenaline YearsEpisode 4: The Adrenaline Years. Picking up from last time’s cliffhanger, Lila falls out of the sky. At nineteen, terrified and wind-torn, she makes a promise to herself that shapes everything after: fast cars, faster bikes, desert roads with a stranger and a bottle of whiskey, and cliff edges she had no business standing on. She calculates every risk, laughs at the number, and does it anyway. And she offers a quiet reassurance to anyone listening with a racing pulse.

Episode 5: World ClassEpisode 5: World Class. Lila collects places the way other people collect records, and remembers each one by its smell. She walks you through a photo album of the unglamorous and the sublime: a freighter’s engine room, a quarry that taught her the peace of working until empty, a river at dusk with strangers watching from the dark, and a jungle trail where the most dangerous thing wasn’t the lion. It was how badly she wanted to keep going deeper.

Episode 6: HungryEpisode 6: Hungry. Low, close, and unapologetic. Lila talks about appetite: for food, for wine, for music that rearranges the furniture in her chest, and for being truly seen. She is, it turns out, a hopeless romantic hiding behind a leather jacket, someone who believes in long letters and will cross a continent for one night. But the same heart that writes the tender songs has never been able to resist danger, and danger never arrives looking like danger. It shows up in a very good jacket.
